The Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are specialized examinations which require a focused preparation methodology.
The parameters for these tests are strict; time management is critical and the ability to work under pressure is essential.
In order to get ready for this test, students should plan to:
Commit sufficient time for preparation
Be prepared to think differently
Follow test instructions to the letter
Work hard and practice whenever possible
Fast Forward’s TOEFL and IELTS instructor employs the following methodology.
Course materials are created exclusively for the goals of each student. Primary focus is on the skills where the student needs most improvement. The rubrics of evaluation are set weekly, and the student will receive feedback after every class. When goals are achieved, practice intensifies and scored practice tests become the focus. Testing continues until both teacher and student are confident that the desired score can be achieved.
