PROCRASTINATION
Do you consider yourself a procrastinator? Don’t worry, everyone has already made this self-judgment before. Unfortunately, it seems to be something natural for humans and we need constantly to fight against this feeling. Below there are some tips to help us stop procrastinating and start doing what we need to do.
1-Start where you are, with what you have. Don’t wait for the right time or the perfect situation. Sometimes they will never exist. Just start today.
2- Stop with the excuses. In adult life, many things are not our fault, but they are still our problem to solve. So, stop searching for guilty people and excuses. It’s a waste of time.
3.- Don’t search for the “why”. Sometimes we’ll never get the answer we want to hear and even if we have it, the situation will still exist. The truth is that the search for the motive that something is happening to you, is another lack of time. Instead, channel your energy to solve problems.
4- Start with small goals. Instead of creating elaborate plans, create achievable short-term goals.
5- Plan your day the night before, writing the tasks you should do.
6- Focus on the feeling you’ll have when you finish the tasks you need to do. This will help a lot.
